Monday, November 5, 2007 Hillary and Edwards In Hypocritical Battle Over Driver's Licenses For Illegals John Edwards has recently went on the attack via debates and campaign adds about Hillary Clinton's flip flopping on various issues. One of his favorite areas to pound Hillary has been her now infamous stance on offering driver's license to illegal aliens. "I heard her say two different things. I don't know what she's calling for. I mean she said the first time she was asked she said one thing and then when Senator Dodd said something, she said something different. That's what I heard," Edwards said at a recent debate. In a recent campaign video it was not necessary for him to say a single word. The inclusion of various speech clips from Hillary was more than enough. However there is one problem. Edward's attack appears to be a proverbial example of the pot calling the kettle black. Edwards supported issuing driver's licenses to illegal immigrants when he was running for vice president in 2004. As a recent guest on ABC's "This Week" he said that he opposed the New York plan to issue license to illegal immigrants. He then offered up essentially the same solution as Hillary. Once a national comprehensive immigration reform plan is passed into law, any illegal who gets on the path to citizenship should be permitted to obtain a license, he said. This story reminds me of wisdom that has graced the bumper of my car since his 2004 run. I sleep like a Democrat. I lie on one side and then I lie on the other. src:http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,308018,00.html Posted by Write-On at 6:31 AM Labels: Election 2008, Hillary-ous, Illegal Immigration 3 comments: David said... Hillary has flip-flopped on important issues since I can remember. The question: do Democrats notice the flip-flop. I watched a Democrat defend her on TV the other day, saying no, she doesn't flip-flop. The woman didn't appear to be deaf and dumb. I just don't get it. Women of all people should know how evil some women are, not all women, but I am shocked by some. Of course I am also shocked by some men. But women can be very cunning and deceiving, while men are more in the open. November 5, 2007 11:12:00 PM EST Post a Comment

But independents continue to be much closer to Democrats than to Republicans with respect to social values, religiosity and beliefs about national security. Indices measuring the relative position of Republicans, Democrats and independents in these three areas show that the views o...
